Hello World

This is what I hope will be the first of a long series of blog posts chronicling my day to day activities, opinions, items of interest and even the occasional special project. Most normal people would use Facebook to do this. Yes, I know that I am hardly normal. I even have a perfectly good Facebook  page, I just rarely use it for anything besides verifying that compromising pictures of me at four years of age are not finding their way onto the net.  This format should suit my communication style better, so I should write more frequently. Well, that is the plan at least.
